On Monday, March 16, the Colorado Workforce Development Council (CWDC) hosted a virtual kickoff of the 2020 WBL Learning Lab as part of the CWDC’s 2020 technical assistance modules.
The Colorado Workforce Development Council added career pathways in the retail industry to the My Colorado Journey platform in February. The retail pathways include opportunities in online and in-person stores as well as hospitality and food and beverage establishments.
Last week the CWDC announced the Talent Accelerator Grant to invest in the development of local upskilling pilots. Grants from $10,000-$60,000 are available to support innovative pilots that train and advance incumbent frontline workers in the retail, hospitality, and food and beverage industries.
The CWDC convened the first Quarterly Conversation of 2020 with a webinar for rural communities on Feb. 12. The conversation focused on workforce development, adult education, libraries, and community-based organizations.
