The CWDC is excited to welcome Gwen Carter to the team as the new operations coordinator. In her role, Gwen will manage all internal and external operations functions of the CWDC.

The CWDC worked with state agency partners from CDLE, CDHE, and CCCS to publish Colorado’s High Quality IRAP Framework. The framework details quality standards for Industry Recognized Apprenticeships Programs (IRAPs) as they take hold in Colorado.

On July 23-24, the CWDC hosted the Reenvisioning Retail 2020 conference for more than 150 individuals from business, education, workforce, community-based organizations, and more.

The Colorado 2020-2023 WIOA State Plan went into effect on July 1, 2020.

The CWDC is hosting the first virtual discussion about the Talent Development Playbook on July 30 at 2 p.m. as part of Talent Development Thursdays. The webinar will help businesses learn how to leverage the strategies in the playbook that best meet their needs, with a focus on the playbook content released in June and July.

The CWDC is pleased to announce grant awards to four communities committed to implementing the Thriving Work-based Learning Community model.

The CWDC and CDLE Office of the Future of Work partnered with three businesses to develop case studies exploring the transition to remote work for a small, medium, and large business.

The CWDC added career pathways in the behavioral health industry to My Colorado Journey in June. The behavioral health pathways include opportunities in counseling, therapy, social work, psychology, psychiatry, and psychiatric nursing.
