June 29, 2020 - The Colorado Workforce Development Council added career pathways in the behavioral health industry to My Colorado Journey in June. The behavioral health pathways include opportunities in counseling, therapy, social work, psychology, psychiatry, and psychiatric nursing. View behavioral health career pathways

Throughout Colorado, there are 132,560 behavioral health jobs with growth projected to steadily increase over the next 10 years. Given the anticipated growth and easy access to employment and education and training opportunities, behavioral health pathways are being included in My Colorado Journey to equip career seekers with the information needed to advance their career and education goals in the industry. 

Three behavioral health pathways are included on the platform, all of which were vetted by industry partners to ensure the pathways are responsive to the needs of behavioral healthcare providers. Pathways include: 

  • Counseling, Therapy, and Social Work
  • Psychology and Psychiatry
  • Psychiatric Nursing
