August 12, 2020 - The CWDC is excited to welcome Gwen Carter to the team as the new operations coordinator. In her role, Gwen will manage all internal and external operations functions of the CWDC. This includes managing the CWDC’s procurement and contracting needs, overseeing the budget, coordinating team projects, managing business and benchmark metrics, and acting as the CWDC’s liaison to CDLE’s finance and accounting offices.
We want to share some more information about Gwen in her own words:
Hello, my name is Gwen, and I’m extremely excited to be joining the CWDC as the operations coordinator. I’m a third generation Coloradan who was born and raised in the Denver metro area, with the exception of a three year stint in the San Francisco Bay Area when I was younger. My work experience through the years includes working for a major generic pharmaceutical company in purchasing and then in IT overseeing projects and managing client services. I then worked for 12-plus years in labor relations with a large regional airline, and spent the last five years as a member of CDLE’s human resources team.
I have an amazing husband, four grown children, and two stepchildren, along with seven grandchildren, two german shepherds, and two very needy cats. One of my favorite things is a good estate sale or auction, which means my free time consists of resurrecting and restoring old furniture and my old house. I also enjoy quilting and sewing, cooking for family and friends, and traveling near and far.
