Registration is now open for the inaugural Colorado Virtual Career Fair on April 19-22. The CWDC State Youth Council is searching for career panelists, youth attendees, parents, and educators for the event.

Public Health Career Pathways Launched in My Colorado Journey

The CWDC added career pathways in the public health industry to My Colorado Journey this month. The public health pathways include opportunities in public health, environmental health, and administration, and were developed in partnership with the Trailhead Institute, the Colorado Public Health Workforce Collaborative, and other state agency partners.

Workforce Innovations in Colorado: Resources for Replication

In 2018, the CWDC released $350,000 in grants to Colorado’s local workforce areas to scale a promising practice or test a new model of service delivery that maximizes efficiency in serving customers. Three local workforce areas received Workforce Innovation Grants, and these resources highlight the innovative practices developed to help others replicate the successful practices.

2021 Sector Partnership Convener Cohort

The CWDC is now accepting individual and team applications to participate in a virtual Convener Cohort technical assistance module. Applications must be submitted by March 12. 

Work-based Learning Incubator Convening: Call for Proposals

The CWDC and the CDE are hosting the 2021 Work-based Learning Incubator Convening on June 3-4 to support the development of high-quality work-based learning experiences in K-12 environments. The CWDC and CDE are searching for presenters, volunteers, and students for the event.

Upskilling Programs Sustain Workers, Buoy Businesses

Through the Lives Empowered initiative, the CWDC is working to develop a scalable, industry-led model for upskilling the frontline workforce across Colorado. Diverse organizations and employers implement upskilling to improve employee retention, facilitate career advancement, attract new talent, and increase customer satisfaction.

Preparing High School Students for Behavioral Health Careers

The CWDC, Colorado Department of Education (CDE), and the Colorado Office of Career and Technical Education (CTE) worked with state and local partners to develop the “Preparing Students for Behavioral Health Careers” resource to support the development of behavioral health career pathway programs in secondary schools.
