June 10, 2021 - Thank you to the educators, employers, public partners, and others from across Colorado who joined us for the 2021 Work-based Learning Incubator Convening. We are inspired by the innovation happening around work-based learning in K-12 education to support Colorado students! As the future of work and digital advancements accelerate, and work-based learning adoption continues to increase across the state as a strategy to innovate and support these new learning environments, we are excited to continue building on the best practices and conversations that were shared during the event.

Throughout the two days of the convening, more than 200 attendees were engaged through 25+ sessions from schools, businesses, and other organizations and professionals to learn more about building high-quality work-based learning experiences, scale promising practices, and hear about the programs and initiatives taking place in school districts across Colorado.

The Thursday keynote panel featured five Colorado students (pictured below) sharing their experiences with work-based learning programming, while the Friday keynote address focused on increasing equity in programs and moving beyond intent to focus on the impact of our actions. Other sessions throughout the event highlighted information about engaging businesses in work-based learning, building programs to increase postsecondary and workforce readiness, connecting to higher education, and adapting work-based learning opportunities for digital environments.
