June 16, 2021 - The 2021 Legislative Session concluded on Tuesday, June 8. Throughout the session, a number of bills related to talent development were passed that will help accelerate Colorado’s recovery.

HB21-1264 Funds Workforce Development Increase Worker Skills passed during the final week of the session and is now on its way to be signed by Governor Polis. The bill will provide $75 million for reskilling, upskilling, and next-skilling opportunities for Coloradans that lead to industry-recognized credentials and get people working in growing industries. Originally part of the Colorado Recovery Plan, an amendment was introduced on June 3 to allocate American Rescue Plan Act funds through this bill as well, creating additional resources for the TalentFOUND network.
