The 2021 Legislative Session concluded on Tuesday, June 8. Throughout the session, a number of bills related to talent development were passed that will help accelerate Colorado’s recovery.

Recent state and federal investments in workforce training and education programs provide an opportunity for us to both improve access to high-quality jobs for Coloradans and help employers get the workers they need to thrive. To ensure these talent development investments are aligned with industry needs, the deadline for the Bridging the Talent Gap employer survey has been extended through June 26.

The CWDC is excited to welcome CJ Antinori to the team as the new Grant Administrator. In her role, CJ will lead the administration and logistics of grants to aid in workforce recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

New features continue to be released on My Colorado Journey to enhance the education and career navigation experience for students, job seekers, and professionals. Learn more about some of the recent improvements.

The CWDC and TalentFOUND partners are administering the Bridging the Talent Gap employer survey to understand the skills gaps Colorado businesses face and identify how education and training programs can help close those gaps.

Registration is now open for the Work-based Learning Incubator Convening. We hope you will join us on June 3-4 for this virtual convening to support the development of high-quality work-based learning experiences in K-12 environments.

The CWDC is excited to announce the launch of the Lives Empowered Career Navigation Pilot. This pilot has been created to support career advancement for frontline employees and improve retail companies' ability to attract and retain high-quality talent. 

Colorado is emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic with plans to stabilize, accelerate, and prepare for immediate and long-term economic recovery. To support these efforts, the CWDC is excited to announce the launch of the Summer/Fall 2021 Technical Assistance Modules.
