Communities of practice are groups convened by the CWDC who have common interest or participation in a specific area within the talent development network. The groups collaborate regularly to share information, improve skills, and promote advancement and adoption of best practices within their area of interest. Sector Partnership Community of Practice
Colorado Statewide Sector Partnership Community of Practice webinars are for anyone involved with sector partnerships. These webinars will include sector strategy updates, partnership profiles, and presenters addressing areas of common concern.

Talent Equity Community of Practice and Accountability
The CWDC is providing coaching and action planning for implementing talent equity strategies for organizations across education, workforce and economic development, community-based organizations, and business/industry. Participating organizations are meeting bi-monthly to develop processes for accountability and long-term sustainability of talent equity strategies. The first session for each group took place in April 2021. The communities of practice will continue through June 2022 and involve check-ins on progress, exploration of accountability actions, problem solving with peers, and revision of action plans for continued implementation. Applications to participate are currently closed.
Work-based Learning Lab
The CWDC offers technical assistance for communities actively pursuing work-based learning strategies to address issues in their talent pipeline. The Work Based Learning Lab is designed to support the advancement of the Thriving Work-based Learning Community model throughout Colorado.
The 2020-2021 Work-based Learning Lab held their final convening and closing celebration on April 23. Over the past year, the Learning Lab offered the opportunity for reflection, learning, collaboration, and discussion about building and sustaining strong work-based learning programs. Four work-based learning communities were recognized and celebrated for their efforts in building thriving work-based learning communities. Tools from the Learning Lab will be curated and shared in summer of 2021.
