Sept. 9, 2021 - September is Workforce Development Month, and this week we’re celebrating Colorado’s workforce ecosystem with the theme “Workforce Services.” This theme was selected to highlight how the public workforce system, including 52 workforce centers statewide, can help job seekers and employers further their career or business goals. Contact your local workforce center to learn more about the many no-cost services they provide.
To kick off Workforce Development Month and bring attention to Colorado's workforce services, CWDC Managing Director Lee Wheeler-Berliner joined with two local workforce directors for a discussion on the Colorado Business Roundtable podcast. The podcast discussion sheds light on the work of the CWDC, what workforce centers do and what services they offer, and the value of Colorado's workforce system during economic recovery. Kat Douglas and Jacob Castillo, the local workforce directors for Tri-County and Larimer county, also share successes from their respective workforce areas and discuss the key services they provide. Listen to the conversation.
