Background Information

Every four years, Colorado is required to submit a WIOA State Plan outlining what the State is doing to help its residents, including youth and those who have been traditionally excluded, find high-quality jobs and careers. The plan also details how the State will help employers hire and retain skilled workers.

The draft new plan will be available for the public comment period, which starts Nov. 2, and runs until Dec. 4, 2023. Following the public comment period, the CWDC will respond to comments received via the comment submission form as well as during the virtual and in-person town halls. Following a review process including approval by the Council, the 2024-2027 WIOA State Plan will be submitted to the United States Department of Labor.
