Sector Partnerships Co-Create Economic Solutions Across Colorado

Sector Partnerships advance industry collaboration into practical talent solutions and economic growth for Colorado businesses. CWDC conducts an annual Key Performance Indicator (KPI) survey to understand the impact Sector Partnerships have on their regions and participating business members. 74% of active sector partnerships participated in the 2024-2025 Annual Impact Survey, revealing an active participation from over 900 employers. 

 

Industry-led efforts to drive talent pipeline and skills outcomes are illustrated by the latest sector partnerships performance data:

  • 75% of partnerships contributed to increased industry awareness by developing marketing materials or facilitating events.

  • 60% supported worker upskilling or career advancement opportunities, while 55% promoted skills first practices & developed or enhanced training and education programs.

  • 50% implemented work-based learning programs such as apprenticeships, internships, and job shadowing opportunities.

     

The direct impact of sector partnership engagement, as reported by industry leaders, included several critical benefits:

  • 62% reported establishing new or improved business to business relations.

  • 37.84% implemented new recruitment and hiring strategies to attract and retain talent, learned through roundtable discussions through the partnership.

  • 72.97% noticed increased recognition or visibility within their community.

  • 29% secured new contracts or business relationships

     

We celebrate employers engaging across Colorado to co-create economic development and talent development strategies. Colorado has 27 active sector partnerships. These partnerships span key industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, construction, technology and exploring partnerships in quantum and early childhood education.
