Why attend Reenvisioning Retail? 

Retail, hospitality, tourism, and food and beverage service are some of the industries that continue to be the most heavily impacted by COVID-19. As Lives Empowered looks ahead to understanding equitable economic mobility for frontline workers in these industries, this convening will highlight actionable steps employers and public partners can take to stabilize businesses and keep workers moving forward.

What can leadership look like during uncertainty? In 2020, retail, hospitality, food and beverage, and tourism were Colorado's most heavily impacted industries from COVID-19. Join us as we explore how businesses, educators, and workforce centers can best move forward in this new environment.

Day 1: Business leaders and frontline employees share how integrating employee feedback into an organization’s structure can improve engagement and retention. Below are session titles and times of Day 1:

  • 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. - Thriving in Chaos
  • 10:05 - 10:35 a.m. - Listen & Lead Your Employees
  • 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. - Don't Talk About Us, Without Us


Day 2: Retail has experienced a great deal of change and uncertainty. Join us as we explore data trends and discuss the future of the industry. Day 2 will also walk employers through skills-based hiring approaches and partnerships intended to strengthen your ability to attract and retain quality employees and increase benefits (such as childcare). Below are session titles and times of Day 2:

  • 9:00 - 9:20 a.m. - Industry Trends
  • 9:20 - 9:40 a.m. - Partner Spotlight
  • 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. - Let's Talk Skills: A Skills-Based Workshop


Day 3: Colorado businesses share how they develop employees through in-house training, including actionable steps that can be integrated into existing programs or used to develop new training for employees. Below are session titles and times of Day 3:

  • 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. - Upskilling Panel
  • 10:05 - 11:30 a.m. - Taking Action & Moving Forward
     
Where
