Jan. 5, 2021 - My Colorado Journey has been added to the myColorado app, the State of Colorado’s official mobile app that provides residents with secure and convenient access to state services anytime, anywhere.
The My Colorado Journey platform is an innovative state effort to expand access to education and career data to help students and job seekers land on their feet. It provides user-friendly, personalized information to find pathways to good jobs and upgrade skills and credentials.
With the dramatic changes to our economy due to the COVID-19 pandemic, access to useful and actionable information about employment, education, and training and about how to best match skills, knowledge, and aspirations with good jobs is more important than ever. Robust workforce and education information systems, with multiple access points, are critical for our workers and students as we enter into an uncertain economic future.
“The ability to access information about jobs, career paths, and education and training opportunities virtually has become even more important in the time of COVID-19,” said Lee Wheeler-Berliner, managing director, Colorado Workforce Development Council. “We are excited that Coloradans will have another way to connect with My Colorado Journey now that it is included in the myColorado app, and we feel it complements the extensive resources already available to Coloradans in the myColorado app.”
A task force of state agencies—including the Colorado Department of Higher Education, Colorado Workforce Development Council, Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, and the Colorado Department of Human Services Child Welfare Division—came together to provide data and integrated services for My Colorado Journey. The platform was built by a collaborative of local technology vendors including PAIRIN, BrightHive and Ligature Creative.
