Work-based Learning Incubator Convening: Call for Proposals

Feb. 11, 2021 - The CWDC and the Postsecondary and Workforce Readiness Unit at the Colorado Department of Education are hosting the 2021 Work-based Learning Incubator Convening on June 3 - 4 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. This virtual convening is focused on supporting the development of high-quality experiences across the work-based learning continuum in K-12 environments.

The CWDC and CDE are searching for presenters, volunteers, and students for the event. Please fill out this form if you wish to submit a presentation proposal, volunteer for the convening, or nominate a student you would like to feature on a panel or in a spotlight. More information about these roles can be found below and in the submission form

The deadline to submit proposals is March 15, 2021. Please email kelly.mitchell@state.co.us if you have any questions.

Presentation Proposals
We are looking for proposals for convening sessions, panels, workshops, and spotlights that focus on various aspects or promising practices in work-based learning. Special consideration will be given to proposals that include an equity focus (ex: increasing access, opportunities, etc.) and proposals that focus on supporting business and community needs. Submit a presentation proposal.

Volunteers
The volunteer roles include facilitating Q&A and student panels, and participating as a panelist for a specific topic. There will be an orientation meeting at the end of May for more details and information. Volunteer for the event.

Student Nominations
We are looking to feature students who have participated or are currently participating in work-based learning programs and would be able to share their stories, thoughts, and expertise. Students are able to participate on Q&A panels or be featured in a 5-10 minute spotlight video. Nominate a student
