Apply or Resubmit Grant Application Using BidNet Direct and New Solicitation Number
The request for applications for the Colorado Workforce Development Council (CWDC) Small Business Apprenticeship Support grant has been reposted, along with a new solicitation number. Applications are now due no later than Friday, Sept. 29, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. MST.
Upon learning that several interested organizations were encountering technical difficulties when trying to submit their applications, we have reposted the grant opportunity for an additional two weeks under a new solicitation number, RFA (RFP) KADA #2024000070.
Any organization that was unable to successfully submit an application will now have the opportunity to do so. If your organization successfully submitted an application in the CWDC Community Grants Portal, you are asked to resubmit the application through BidNet Direct. Screenshots and a step-by-step video of the process are available. If you experience any difficulty, please contact james.ponder@state.co.us.
The RFA contents regarding eligibility, scope of work for grant objectives, required reporting for grant agreements, and other facets of the grant program have not changed. There have been some formatting changes in the submission requirements. The section involving additional information and questions are now part of the Attachment List for submission documents.
The Small Business Apprenticeship Support Grant provides financial incentives of up to $50,000 in grant funding to small businesses to expand administrative support for launching new or expanding existing Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs). Examples of how an employer can utilize funding include:
- Hiring internal administrative support to launch or expand apprenticeship programs
- Provide training for managers and/or mentors
- Curriculum development

Funds for the award are provided through the Federal State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund, and authorized through Colorado HB21-1264.
