Sept. 1, 2020 - Workforce Development Month kicks off on Sept. 1. This nationwide awareness month, held annually in September, recognizes the contributions of workforce professionals and highlights events and initiatives that support job seekers and employers.

This year in Colorado, the theme “From Adversity to Opportunity” was chosen to focus on the challenges and opportunities presented by the pandemic. Each week will focus on a different topic, including working in a virtual world, workforce services, apprenticeships, and industries especially impacted by the pandemic, such as hospitality and retail. See below for the full schedule.

Please share your events and success stories for promotion throughout September. You can also follow the CWDC on Twitter and LinkedIn and CDLE on Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook for information on events, initiatives, and success stories throughout September. Happy Workforce Development Month!
