Sept. 14, 2023 - Colorado’s workforce system gives students and job seekers a competitive edge to pursue meaningful careers by offering a wide variety of free resources and programs.
My Colorado Journey, the state’s free education and career planning platform, helps Coloradans discover career pathways that are a good fit for them - whether it’s going to college, expanding their work journey with job training, or pursuing careers in in-demand jobs in the state.
First steps begin with the My Colorado Journey Career Cluster Survey where individuals provide information that will help align their interests with work and suggested industries in Colorado.
Students can use the platform to understand and map out the steps needed to choose a career and education path that is unique to them, with an emphasis on their interests, talents, and dreams. Students as well as job seekers can explore salary and skills sets needed to dive deeper into career pathways, identify training programs and options for advancement, or map the steps to land a new job and accomplish career goals.
My Colorado Journey has 13 published pathways in Careers in Colorado. The pathways aim to address the increased demand for a variety of industry professionals, strengthen continued career development, and nurture increased public awareness and interest in the industries spurred by the pandemic. A user account is not required to view this content, but is highly recommended.
