In the wake of the COVID-19 crisis, the CWDC is proactively working to extend flexibility and support to Colorado communities. The following decisions have been made in an effort to manage risks while continuing efforts to sustain Colorado’s critical talent development activities. WIOA Emergency Policy Relief:
- Collaborated with CDLE to publish COVID-19 Emergency Policy Relief for WIOA Title I Programs. Updates to CWDC items referenced in the PGL include:
- The deadline for submission of new PY20-23 Regional and Local Plans is hereby extended to July 31, 2020.
- The Local Board Certification submission is hereby extended to July 31, 2020.
Funding to local areas expenditure deadline extended:
- Performance Incentive Funds (PIF), NFA19-107, expenditure deadline has been moved back to December 31, 2020, each local area is being awarded an additional $10,000, and flexibility in use has been expanded to meet needs related to COVID-19.
- Local Workforce Development Board Funds, NFA19-103, expenditure deadline has been moved back to December 31, 2020 and flexibility in use has been expanded to meet needs related to COVID-19.
Work-based Learning Grant application postponed:
- Thriving Work-based Learning Community Grant applications originally due on April 17 are now due May 29. A webinar describing the funding opportunity will be hosted on April 29 from 2-3 p.m.
Grant reporting deadlines extended:
- Sector Partnership Bridge Grant: Reports originally due March 20 are now due April 20.
- If your partnership anticipates needing an extension on the period of performance beyond October 2020, please submit a request in writing and state why the extension is needed. There is a space for this within the Quarter 1 report.
- Retail Sector Partnership Grants: Quarter 1 reports originally due March 17 are now due April 17.
- If you anticipate needing an extension on grant deliverables due to extenuating circumstances brought on by COVID-19, please document the impact and email cwdc@state.co.us requesting an extension.
