The Colorado Workforce Development Council is excited to announce three staff members are in new roles, reflecting their expertise, passion, and commitment to advancing workforce development in Colorado.

Jack Hansell, Operations Manager

Jack Hansell was promoted to operations manager,having previously served as the lead for Quality Assurance and Compliance for the CWDC’s State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF). In his new role, Jack is responsible for overseeing the procurement and contracting needs of the CWDC, managing the budget and coordinating team projects. His work as a liaison to the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment's finance and accounting offices will play a crucial role in helping the CWDC maintain operational efficiency and financial integrity. Jack’s background in manufacturing and brewing, where he held senior positions in supply chain and quality assurance, has given him a robust skill set for managing logistics, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.In his downtime, Jack is a fan of golf and brewing beer—two hobbies that, much like his professional life, require precision and creativity. With his expertise and proactive approach, Jack is poised to help the CWDC streamline operations and continue advancing workforce development initiatives throughout Colorado.

Jessica Maiorca, Senior Consultant for WIOA and Policy Innovation

Jessica Maiorca was promoted to senior consultant for WIOA and policy innovation, having previously served as the consultant for innovative finance. In her new role, Jessica leads the implementation of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and supports the Colorado Innovative Financing Roadmap—two initiatives that aim to ensure Colorado’s workforce has access to affordable training and educational opportunities, while also promoting accountability and sustainable funding streams.Her background in industrial and labor relations, coupled with her experience in global workforce development , makes her an ideal leader for complex initiatives. Jessica is committed to advancing financial tools like income share agreements, social impact bonds, and pay-for-success contracts, which are designed to bridge the gap between education and employment for Coloradans.Jessica is eager to continue her work while taking advantage of the state's outdoor beauty—she promises to learn to ski, which might just be another challenge she’s ready to tackle with the same enthusiasm she brings to her professional endeavors. When not at work, you can find Jessica walking her dog or hunting for the perfect cannoli, reflecting her dedication to both hard work and a well-balanced life.

Megan Christensen, Climate Workforce Development Manager

Megan Christensen will serve as the climate workforce development manager. In her shared role between the Colorado Workforce Development Council and the Colorado Energy Office, Megan is responsible for aligning workforce priorities in clean energy sectors across the state. This role speaks to her deep commitment to bridging the gap between education and career pathways in the rapidly evolving clean energy sector.Before joining the CWDC and CEO, Megan worked in career and talent development within higher education. Her previous experience at Minerva University, the Watson Institute, and her training design consultancy allowed her to hone her skills in helping students and young professionals find meaningful career opportunities. With her combination of experience in higher education and a forward-thinking approach to workforce development, Megan is well-positioned to help grow Colorado’s clean energy workforce and ensure the state leads the way in sustainability. Outside of work, Megan enjoys creative writing projects and hiking in Colorado’s beautiful outdoors with her partner.
