March 3, 2023 - Achieving Colorado’s goal of transitioning to 100% renewable energy by 2040 will require building an inclusive workforce. With hundreds of billions of dollars in new federal funding going toward infrastructure projects over the next decade, we can take action now to connect Coloradans with good jobs that support the state’s energy transition and move our infrastructure forward.

To aid in this effort, the Colorado Workforce Development Council (CWDC) is pleased to share Realizing the Workforce Potential of Infrastructure Investments: State Strategies to Advance Job Quality and Build Inclusive Workforces in Transportation and Clean Energy. The report was informed by discussions with the CWDC, the Colorado Energy Office, and Colorado Community College System and spotlights a promising practice from the Colorado Department of Transportation Highway project. Please join us for a webinar on March 22, 2023 at 1 p.m. to learn more about these efforts and opportunities you can take advantage of to contribute to Colorado’s inclusive workforce. Register for the March 22 webinar

Additionally, the Colorado team has been selected to participate in the Results for America (RFA) Good Jobs and Equity Project where they will invest in putting the goals of the report into practice to enhance the energy and infrastructure workforce. Click here for a link to the RFA press release
