July 27, 2021 - The CWDC is looking for industry partners from businesses, advisories, workforce development, and others to join an advisory committee to participate in the review of our industry-recognized credentials lists. The group will help ensure that postsecondary credential attainment efforts around the state are aligned with industry and business needs. This work is essential to supporting workforce development in all sectors of Colorado, especially in high-demand areas. Sign up for the advisory group

The advisory group will meet once per year and require 2-4 hours of your time annually in the fall to coincide with the annual review of the Career Development Incentive Program approved programs list and Colorado’s list of high-quality non-degree credentials programs. Industry partners will be asked to review industry-relevant credentials on the program lists to identify if credentials are of value in their field.

We will be holding an informational meeting on August 10 from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. if you are interested in learning more about the advisory group. Register for August 10 informational meeting.

The Career Development Incentive Program (CDIP) provides up to $1,000 to school districts and charter schools with students who complete approved programs from the annually-reviewed list. CDIP is utilized by more than 50 school districts, and last year 8,700 credentials were reported. Your input will help to make sure that programs are aligned with industry needs and that when school districts design programs, they are teaching students the skills that you need in the workforce.
