In the age of COVID-19 the need for scalable models for upskilling the frontline workforce and filling jobs with skilled workers is more important than ever. Reenvisioning Retail is an opportunity to convene partners in discussions about equitable strategies for economic recovery and identified opportunities for upskilling, reskilling, and redeploying displaced workers that could be implemented to support the economic well-being of frontline workers in communities now and in the future. This April, we have 3 days dedicated to these conversations.
WHEN: April 14-16, 2021
WHY: Retail, hospitality, tourism, and food and beverage service are some of the industries that continue to be the most heavily impacted by COVID-19. As Lives Empowered looks ahead to understanding equitable economic mobility for frontline workers in these industries, this convening will highlight actionable steps employers and public partners can take to stabilize businesses and keep workers moving forward.
WHO: Company decision makers and HR professionals from retail, tourism, hospitality, and food and beverage businesses across Colorado; Public partners from workforce development, chambers of commerce, education and training providers and economic development; Funders and thought leaders interested in advancing frontline workers.
